3. Oil Filter Check________________
A. General
(1)
This is a procedure to examine the internal condition of the constant speed drive. You use the pop-out buttons on the filters for indication.
(2)
The CSD has two oil filters. The integral oil filter is on the CSD and the line oil filter is near the generator drive oil cooler. Each oil filter has a pop-out button. A large oil pressure difference from a clogged oil filter causes the pop-out button to extend.
(3)
The CSD is on the accessory gearbox at the 8 o'clock position. The line oil filter is on the fan case at the 5 o'clock position.

(1) Examine the pop-out button on the integral oil filter on the CSD.
(a) If the pop-out button is extended, replace the integral oil filter (AMM 24-11-41/201).

(2) S 016-007Open the right fan cowl (AMM 71-11-02/201).
(3) S 216-008Examine the pop-out button on the line oil filter. (a) If the pop-out button is extended, replace the line oil filter (AMM 24-11-31/201).
(4) S 416-012Close the right fan cowl (AMM 71-11-02/201).
