 NOTE:____ The rubber sleeve is installed on the cooler at the aft end of the cooler.
 2) 3) 4)  Install the duct.Install the clamps at these locations: a) The forward end of the cooler b) The aft end of the cooler c) The aft end of the crossover duct.Install and tighten the bolt on the cooling air crossover duct on the forward end of the generator.
 (4)  S 434-015Install the APU starter wires. (a) Tighten the jamnut.
 (5)  S 414-016Install the fire detection loop. (a) Install the loop and the clamps to the lower side of the APU. (b) Install the loop and the bracket to the cooling air crossover duct. (c) Connect the fire detection connector.
 NOTE:____ The fire detection connector is on the left side of the APU higher shroud.
 (d)  Install a lockwire on the fire detection connector.
 (6)  S 434-017Connect the electrical connector on the APU tach generator.
 (7)  S 424-103Install a lockwire on the electrical connector on the APU tach generator.
 (8)  S 414-018Install and tighten the fuel line.

 S 434-019
 (9)  Install the electrical connectors.
 (a)  
Install the electrical connectors to the APU higher shroud.

 (b)  
Connect the electrical connectors (4 each) on the right side of the APU higher shroud. 1) Install a lockwire.

 (10) Install the connectors to the overtemperature control switch.
 (a)  
Connect the left connector on the overtemperature control switch on the forward side of the cooling air crossover duct. 1) Install a lockwire.

 (b)  
Connect the right connector on the overtemperature control switch on the forward side of the cooling air crossover duct. 1) Install a lockwire.

 S 414-021
 (11) Install the APU lower shroud.
 (a)  
Put the lower shroud against the higher shroud.

 (b)  
Close the shroud latches.

 S 414-022
 (12) Close the APU access door.
 (a)  
Disengage these rods:
 1) APU access door rods
 2) APU access stow rods.

 (b)  
Close the access door.

 (c)  
Latch the access door.

 (13) Do a test of the APU generator.
 (a)  
Close the generator field control relay (GCR).

 (b)  
Momentarily set the APU GEN switches on the P5-4 panel to ON.

 CAUTION: WHILE THE APU OPERATES, DO NOT SET THE "APU GEN" SWITCHES
_______ TO "ON" UNTIL YOU ARE SURE THAT THE PHASE SEQUENCE IS CORRECT. AN INCORRECT PHASE SEQUENCE WILL CAUSE MOTORS TO TURN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE LOAD EQUIPMENT.
 (c) Start the APU (AMM 49-11-00/201).
 1) Momentarily set the two APU GEN switches to OFF.

 2) Push and hold the RESID VOLTS button.
 3) Make sure the AC voltmeter shows 10 to 21 volts.
 4) Release the RESID VOLTS button.

 (d)  Make sure that the phase sequence is correct for the APU generator output voltage.
 WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU ARE NEAR ENERGIZED ELECTRICAL
_______ EQUIPMENT. FOLLOW ALL OF THE PRECAUTIONS TO PREVENT SHORT CIRCUITS AND ELECTRICAL SHOCK TO PERSONEL. ELECTRICAL SHOCK CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 1) Get access to the APU GEN BREAKER 1 located on the P6-11 panel (AMM 24-21-41/401). 2) Connect a phase sequence indicator to terminals A1 (phase A), A2 (phase B), A3 (phase C) of the generator breaker. 3) Make sure that the phase sequence is A-B-C.
 NOTE: If the phase sequence is not correct, two output
____ wires are connected to the incorrect terminals.
