3. Oil Cooler
__________
A. The oil cooler uses cool air from the engine fan to remove the heat from the oil in the VSCF. The oil cooler is external to the VSCF. It operates together with the heat exchanger to keep the VSCF cool.
B. The oil cooler is on the fan case at the 5 o'clock position.
4. Line Oil Filter

A. The line oil filter collects contamination from the oil. This prevents damage to the VSCF and the oil cooler.
B. The line oil filter has a pop-out button. The pop-out button extends when the oil pressure becomes too high. This is an indication that the oil filter element is full of contamination and will not let the oil flow through it.
