Momentarily set the GEN 1 switch (for engine No. 1) or the GEN 2 switch (for engine No. 2) on the P5 panel to ON.
(c)
Make sure that the applicable GEN OFF BUS light goes off.
(d)
Make sure the AC voltmeter shows 115 | 5 volts and the FREQ meter shows 400 | 5 Hz.
(e)
Momentarily set the GEN 1 (or 2) switch to OFF.
(f)
Push and hold the RESID VOLTS button.
(g)
Make sure the AC voltmeter shows 10 - 21 volts.
(h)
Release the RESID VOLTS button.
G.
Put the Airplane Back in its Usual Condition
(1)
Shutdown the engine (AMM 71-00-00/201).

APU GENERATOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This procedure contains four tasks for the APU generator.
(1)
The removal of the APU ac generator with the APU installed.
(2)
The installation of the APU ac generator with the APU installed.
(3)
The removal of the APU ac generator with the APU removed.
(4)
The installation of the APU ac generator with the APU removed.
B.
You can remove the generator with the APU installed, but the generator removal is easier with the APU removed.
C.
The installation of the APU generator is different from the installation of the engine-driven generator.
(1)
The APU generator has a duct support bracket assembly which is installed on the exciter end cover with six screws.
(a) The support bracket has two extended holes to hold the current transformer mount assembly.
(2)
Use the nut plates with all the bolts for the current transformer and the mount installation.

(1) Open the access door 3804.
(a) Install the door support rods.

CAUTION:_______BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU TOUCH THE SHROUD. DAMAGE TO THE SHROUD DRAIN LINES CAN OCCUR, IF YOU DO NOT CORRECTLY HOLD THE SHROUD.
(2) Remove the shroud.
(a)
Use support for the lower shroud.
(b)
Open the shroud latches.
(c)
Remove the shroud.

(3) Remove the electrical connectors.
(a) Disconnect the electrical connectors (4 each) from the right forward side of the APU higher shroud.
