(a)
Remove the nuts, the bolts, and the washers that attach the receptacle to the receptacle pan.
(b)
Remove the external power receptacle and the safety guide from the outer side of the airplane.

Install the External Power Receptacle

(1) Install the external power receptacle:
(a) Put the external power receptacle and the safety guide in their positions in the receptacle pan.
NOTE: Do this step out of the airplane.

(b)
Install the four bolts and the four washers through the receptacle, the receptacle pan, and the insulation plate.
(c)
Tighten the four nuts.

Apply a pressure seal with the sealant around the receptacle (AMM 51-31-00/201).
(3)
Connect the electrical wires to the external power receptacle:

CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU CONNECT THE CORRECT ELECTRICAL WIRE TO EACH
_______ RECEPTACLE STUD. AN INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE A MALFUNCTION OF THE CIRCUIT AND DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
(a) Install the six wires on the receptacle studs of the external power receptacle.
CAUTION: DO NOT INSTALL THE WASHERS BELOW THE EXECTRICAL WIRES.
_______ THIS WILL CAUSE HEAT THAT CAN BURN THE RECEPTACLE STUDS.
(b)
Install the nuts and the washers on the receptacle studs as shown in Fig. 402.
(c)
Torque the 3/8 inch nuts (pins A, B, C and D) to 120-125 pound-inches.
(d)
Torque the 10/32 nuts (pins E and F) to 20-22 pound-inches.
(e)
Remove the identification tags.
