(b)
Remove the MPCB cover plate.
(c)
Disconnect the electrical connector.
(d)
Remove the six electrical cables from the terminal studs. 1) Tag each cable with the correct identification to help with installation. 2) Make a note of the position of the cable terminals, plain washers, lockwashers, and nuts on each terminal stud.
3) Where more than one cable attaches to a stud, attach the parts together, and tag for each stud.
(e)
Remove the four MPCB installation screws.
(f)
Remove the MPCB.

3. Install the MPCB in the P6-11 and P6-12 Panels (Fig. 401)______________________________________________
A. Access

B. Prepare for the Installation

WARNING: MAKE SURE ALL THE POWER IS OFF BEFORE YOU TOUCH A CONDUCTOR IN
_______ THE CONTROL COMPARTMENTS. ELECTRICAL SHOCKS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
(1) Examine the cables for damage caused by heat or corrosion.
CAUTION:_______DO NOT USE METAL OXIDE ABRASIVES. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TERMINAL.
(a)
Remove the corrosion with sandpaper or a rubber eraser.
(b)
If the terminal or the cable is damaged replace the terminal if the cable has sufficient length. 1) Refer to the Notes Section of the Wire Diagram Manual for
the terminal installation instructions.
(c)
If the cable is too short, replace the cable.
C. Procedure

(1) Install the MPCB:
(a)
Put the MPCB in the correct position.
(b)
Install the four installation screws.
S 434-014
(2) Attach the cables to the MPCB:
(a)
Remove the MPCB terminal cover.
(b)
Install the cables on the terminal studs.
1) Use the notes you made during the removal procedure to make the correct installation.
(c)
Install the nuts on the studs.

CAUTION: IMPROPERLY SEATED TERMINALS MAY LEAD THE TERMINAL TO WORK
_______ FREE AND CAUSE ELECTRICAL ARCING AND THE TERMINAL TO OVERHEAT.
(d)
Make sure the terminals are fully seated on the studs.
(e)
Tighten the nuts to the torque values on the terminal cover.
CAUTION:_______BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU CONNECT THE CONNECTOR. DAMAGED PINS CAN CAUSE FAILURE OF THE CIRCUIT BREAKER.
(f)
Connect the electrical connector.
(g)
Install the MPCB terminal cover and tighten the two screws.
