Install the three nuts that attach the conductor guard to the receptacle pan.

Tighten the nuts.

(5) Install the forward panel on the right side of the nose wheel well.
(a) Apply grease, D00015 to the hole of the washers and the fastener shanks bfore installing them.
E. Do a test of the external power receptacle.

Make sure the airplane operates satisfactorily.

Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).

EXTERNAL POWER RECEPTACLE - INSPECTION/CHECK

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains three tasks:
(1)
The inspection of the External Power Receptacle has the following tasks:
(a)
The inspection contains a visual check of the connector pins. It also contains a check of the torque of the terminal nuts.
(b)
A check of the external power connect terminal stud nut torque.
(c)
A check of the neutral ground stud for electrical bonding.
(2)
The check of the External Power Receptacle.
(a) The check examines the connector pins for wear.
(3)
A continuity check between the External Power Receptacle neutral pin and the grounding stud.
(a) You use a low resistance ohmmeter to measure the resistance between the neutral pin on the external power receptacle and the grounding stud.

(1) Examine the outboard side of the external power receptacle for these problems:
(a)
Pins that have cracks in them.
(b)
Cracks in the support base.
(c)
Pins that are loose or bent.
