CAUTION:_______MAKE SURE THE VSCF AREA IS CLEAN. IF THE AREA IS NOT CLEAN, CONTAMINATION MAY ENTER THE VSCF CASE AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE VSCF.
(1) Get access to the vacuum break valve.
(a) Open the engine cowl panel (AMM 71-11-02/201).

(2) Drain the oil until it is below the bottom of the sight glass (AMM 12-13-21/301).

WARNING:_______REMOVE THE VSCF VACUUM BREAK VALVE SLOWLY. HOT GAS OR OIL CAN COME OUT WHEN THE ENGINE IS HOT. HOT GAS OR OIL CAN BURN YOU.
(3) Remove the vacuum break valve and O-ring from the valve adapter fitting.

CAUTION:_______MAKE SURE THE VSCF AREA IS ALWAYS CLEAN. A DIRTY SYSTEM CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE VSCF.
(1) Install the vacuum break valve.
(a)
Apply oil to the new O-ring, and install the new O-ring to the vacuum break valve adapter fitting.
(b)
Install the O-ring and adapter fitting on the VSCF. Torque the fitting to 20 to 25 pound-inches.
(c)
Apply oil to the new O-ring, and install the O-ring on the vacuum break valve.
(d)
Install the O-ring and vacuum break valve onto the adapter fitting. Torque the vacuum break valve to 20-25 pound-inches.

(2) Fill the VSCF with oil (AMM 12-13-21/301).
E. Examine the vacuum relief valve installation for leaks.

Motor the engine (AMM 71-00-00/201).

Examine the vacuum relief valve installation for leaks.
