Connect the oil inlet hose to the VSCF.

Install the clamps that attach the hydraulic hoses. 1) Install 2 clamps on the hydraulic case drain hose. 2) Install 2 clamps on the hydraulic pressure hose. 3) Install a clamp on the hydraulic supply hose.

 (3)  Connect the wires and the leads to the VSCF.
 (a)  
Connect the DPCT wire harness to the VSCF: 1) Attach the two clamps to the VSCF with screws and washers. 2) Install a nut, a lock washer, a flat washer, and the

 terminal lead on each stud. 3) Tighten the nuts to 20-22 pound-inches. 4) Install the terminal board cover.

 (b)  
Connect the yellow and the blue power feeder wires to the VSCF with the bolts and the clamps.

 (c)  
Connect 2 exciter terminal leads to the studs on the VSCF. 1) Install a nut, a lockwasher, a flat washer, and the

 terminal lead on each stud. 2) Tighten the nuts to 20-26 pound-inches.

 (d)  
Connect 6 output terminal leads to the studs on the VSCF. 1) Install a nut, a lockwasher, a flat washer, and the

 terminal lead on each stud. 2) Tighten the nuts to 144-168 pound-inches.

 (e)  
Install the cover on the VSCF terminals.

Connect the air duct to the VSCF.

 DRIVE OIL NO. 2 TEMP) 3) C466, NO. 1 CSD CONT (or C467, NO. 2 CSD CONT)

 (2)  AIRPLANES WITH GENERATOR DRIVE OIL NO. 1 (OR NO. 2) LOW PRESS CIRCUIT BREAKER; For the applicable engine, close these circuit breakers:
 (a)  P6-4 Circuit Breaker Panel: 1) C34, GENERATOR DRIVE OIL NO. 1 LOW PRESS (or C35, GENERATOR DRIVE OIL NO. 2 LOW PRESS) 2) C294, GENERATOR DRIVE OIL NO. 1 TEMP (or C295, GENERATOR
 DRIVE OIL NO. 2 TEMP) 3) C466, NO. 1 CSD CONT (or C467, NO. 2 CSD CONT)

 (3)  Fill the VSCF case and the spline cavity with oil
 (AMM 12-13-21/301).

 (4)  S 864-019-002Motor the engine (without fuel) for 1 minute (AMM 71-00-00/201).
 (5)  S 614-020-002Examine the oil level in the VSCF case (AMM 12-13-21/301).
 NOTE:____ The oil level can decrease below the bottom of the sight glass after you motor the engine. This is not an indication of a defective VSCF.
 (a) (b)  Add oil to the VSCF case if it is necessary.Drain oil from the VSCF case if it is necessary.
 (6)  S 414-021-002Close the left fan cowl on the applicable engine (AMM 71-11-02/201).
 (7)  S 734-022-002Do the system test of the VSCF (AMM 24-11-11/501).
 NOTE:____ If any problems are discovered when performing the System Test, check VSCF wiring (WDM 24-11-11 thru WDM 24-29-99) prior to performing troubleshooting procedures.
