 2.  The Operation Test of the DC System___________________________________
 A.  General
 (1)  
This test uses the annunciator module M238 on the P6 panel. To get the indication from the M238, you must push the INDICATE / TEST switch S2 to the INDICATE position.

Use the Airplane Battery to do a Test of the Battery Control and Indicator Circuits.

 (1)
Make sure that the BUS TRANS switch is in the AUTO position.

 (2)  
Remove the electrical power from the airplane (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (3)  
Set the BAT switch to the OFF position.

 (4)  
Set the STANDBY POWER switches to the OFF position.

 (a)  P18-5 Panel

 (b)  P6-5 Panel 1) C134, DC BUS INDICATION HOT BAT
 (2)  S 865-009Set the BAT switch to the ON position.
 (3)  S 865-005Turn the dc meter switch on the overhead panel to the BAT position. (a) Make sure that the dc voltmeter on the overhead panel shows 20 to 28 volts.
 (4)  S 865-008Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers: (a) P6-5 Panel 1) C145, BAT BUS CONT AUTO 2) C167, BAT TRANS CONT 3) C26, DC BUS INDICATION BAT
 (5)  S 865-010Push the switch S2 to the INDICATE position. (a) Make sure that the BAT light on the M238 comes on.
 (6)  S 865-013Turn the dc meter switch to the BAT BUS position. (a) Make sure that the dc voltmeter shows 20 to 28 volts.
 (7)  S 865-014Turn the dc meter switch to the BAT position. (a) Make sure that the dc voltmeter shows 20 to 28 volts. (b) Make sure that the dc ammeter shows a negative value.
 (8)  S 865-020Open these circuit breakers and attach the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag: (a) P6-5 Panel 1) C145, BAT BUS CONT AUTO 2) C167, BAT TRANS CONT
