E. Do a Test of the External Power.
S 015-005
(1) Open the external power receptacle door.

WARNING: BEFORE YOU CONNECT THE EXTERNAL POWER CABLE TO THE AIRPLANE,
_______ MAKE SURE THE EXTERNAL POWER CABLE IS NOT ENERGIZED. ELECTRICAL ARCS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2)
Connect an external power cable to the P19 receptacle.

Energize the external power cable.
(a)
Make sure that the EXTERNAL POWER - CONN and NOT IN USE lights on the P19 panel come on.
(b)
Make sure that the GRD POWER AVAILABLE light on the P5-4 panel comes on.

(4) Push the BAT switch on the P5-13 panel to ON.
(a) Make sure that these lights come on: 1) TRANSFER BUS OFF No. 1 and No. 2 (P5-4 panel) 2) BUS OFF No. 1 and No. 2 (P5-4 panel) 3) GEN OFF BUS No. 1 and No. 2 (P5-4 panel)
4) ELEC and MASTER CAUTION (P7 lightshield panel)

(5) Push the MASTER CAUTION switches to make the related lights go off.
NOTE: It is necessary to push the MASTER CAUTION switches many

(6) Look at the quality of the external power without loads.
(a)
Turn the ac meters switch on the P5-13 panel to GRD PWR.
(b)
Make sure that the voltmeter shows 115 | 5 volts.
(c)
Make sure that the frequency meter shows 400 | 5 Hz.
F. Do a Test of the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) Generator.

(1)
Push the APU GEN No. 1 switch to ON.

Start the APU (AMM 49-11-00/201).
(a) Make sure that the APU GEN OFF BUS light comes on.

(3) Look at the quality of the power from the APU generator without loads.
(a)
Turn the ac meters switch to APU GEN.
(b)
Make sure that the voltmeter shows 115 | 5 volts.
(c)
Make sure the CPS FREQ meter shows:
GTCP85-129 APU; UNLOADED 405-410 Hz GTCP36-280 APU; UNLOADED 395-405 Hz APS2000 APU; UNLOADED 395-405 Hz

Push the APU GEN No. 1 switch to OFF.

Look at the residual voltage from the APU generator.
(a)
Push and hold the RESID VOLT switch on the P5-13 panel.
(b)
Make sure that the ac voltmeter shows 10 to 21 volts.
(c)
Release the RESID VOLTS switch.
G. Energize the AC Buses with APU Generator Power.
