 1.  General
_______
 A.  This procedure contains two tasks. The first task is the removal of the generator drive oil cooler. The second is the installation and test of the generator drive oil cooler.
 B.  The generator drive oil cooler is installed near the oil tank on the lower aft area of the engine fan case.
 NOTE: Do the oil cooler inspection in AMM 71-00-58/101 to check

 for FOD before you replace the cooler.

AIRPLANES WITH A VSCF GENERATOR/CONVERTER; Release the pressure in the VSCF Generator/Converter oil system.

 WARNING:_______REMOVE THE OVERFILL DRAIN FITTING SLOWLY. HOT GAS OR OIL CAN COME OUT WHEN THE ENGINE IS HOT. HOT GAS OR OIL CAN BURN YOU.
 (a)  
Remove the overfill drain fitting.

 (b)  
Remove the pressure-fill valve.

 (3)  AIRPLANES WITH A CONSTANT SPEED DRIVE;
 Release the pressure in the CSD oil system.

 (a)  Push the vent valve cap on the top of the CSD to remove the internal pressure.

 (4)  Remove the union from the oil-in port:
 (a)  
Remove the hose from the oil-in port on the oil cooler.
