If the LOW OIL PRESSURE or DRIVE light does not go off when the engine is at or above idle speed, do the trouble-shooting on the CSD (AMM 24-11-00/101).

(3) If you are unsure that the phase sequence is correct, do this task:
Generator Phase Sequence Test (AMM 24-21-00/501).

(4) Make sure that the voltmeter shows 115 volts and the frequency meter
shows 400 |5 Hz.
(a) If the frequency is not 400 |5 Hz, adjust the CSD
(AMM 24-11-11/501).

(5) Push the generator control switch for GEN 1 or GEN 2 on the forward
overhead panel to OFF and then release it.

(6) Set the RESID VOLTS switch to ON.
(a) Make sure that a residual voltage shows on the ac voltmeter.

(7) Examine the generator output voltage.
(a) Set the selector switch for the volt meter to GEN 1 or GEN 2.
(b) Push and release the GEN 1 or GEN 2 switch on the pilots'
forward overhead panel to ON.
(c) Make sure that the AC voltmeter shows approximately 115 volts.

(8) Close the load control center, panel P6-11 or P6-12.

(9) Do this task: "Generator Constant Speed Drive Test"
(AMM 24-11-11/501).
NOTE: This is a test of the disconnect mechanism in the CSD.____

(10) Shutdown the engine.
(a) Stop for 5 minutes.
NOTE: The 5 minutes will let the oil level become stable.
____ When the oil level becomes stable, you can get an accurate indication of the oil level.
You can examine the CSD for leaks while you stop for the five minutes for the oil level to become stable.

(11) Examine the CSD oil system for leaks.
(a) Examine these locations carefully: 1) The oil supply and return line connections. 2) The connection points for the oil pressure switch. 3) The CSD case. 4) The connection surface between the QAD ring and the spline
cavity. 5) The CSD drain lines. 6) The reset gland for the CSD disconnect. 7) The fill valve in the oil supply line. 8) The line oil filter. 9) The oil cooler and the oil cooler fittings.

Look at the sight glass that shows the oil level on the CSD.
(a)
Make sure the oil level is in the range for a usual operation.
(b)
If necessary, do this task: "Fill the CSD with Oil" (AMM 12-13-21/301).
