VARIABLE SPEED CONSTANT FREQUENCY GENERATOR/CONVERTER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks: removal of the variable speed constant frequency generator/converter (VSCF), and installation of the VSCF generator/converter.
B. To remove the VSCF, you must do these steps:
(1)
Open the circuit breakers.
(2)
Open the left fan cowl panel.
(3)
Disconnect the wires, the leads, and the hoses.
(4)
Drain the oil from the VSCF case and spline cavity.
(5)
Remove the VSCF from the QAD adapter.
C.
To install the VSCF, you must do these steps:
(1)
Install the VSCF on the QAD adapter.
(2)
Connect the hoses, the wires, and the leads.
(3)
Fill the VSCF case and spline cavity with oil.
(4)
Close the left fan cowl panel.
(5)
Close the circuit breakers.
(6)
Do a test of the VSCF.

(1) AIRPLANES WITHOUT GENERATOR DRIVE OIL NO. 1 (OR NO. 2) LOW PRESS CIRCUIT BREAKER; For the applicable engine, open these circuit breakers:
(a) P6-3 Circuit Breaker Panel:
1) C313, SEC 1 (or C314, SEC 2)
