 4)  The resistance of the oil-in and oil-out temperature sensors increases when the temperature increases (Fig. 5). The change in resistance of the sensors causes a change in the temperature indications on the meters on the P5-5 panel.
 B.  Control
 (1)  
The ac generator drive system operates automatically when you start the engine. To connect the VSCF to the ac buses, you must push the GEN switch on the P5-4 panel to ON (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (2)  
The DISCONNECT switches on the P5-5 panel manually disconnect the generator field circuit. The VSCF does not disconnect mechanically. To connect the generator field circuit again, you must push the INDICATE button or the BIT switch on the VSCF to INDICATE (Ref 24-11-11/501).

 AC GENERATOR DRIVE SYSTEM - TROUBLE SHOOTING

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure contains trouble charts to isolate failures in the constant speed drive (CSD) system. The failures show on the indicator lights and gages on the P5-5 panel.
 B.  You will start at the top and move down through the charts to isolate failures.
 WARNING:_______DO NOT LET THE OIL GET ON YOUR SKIN. THE OIL CAN CAUSE SKIN PROBLEMS.
