 (f)  Tighten the AC generator nuts to a torque of 160 to 190 pound-inches.

 (9)  Install the parts on the generator:
 (a)  Install the cooling air collector ring around the generator flange.
 NOTE: Make sure that the two tab pins engage in the

 recesses on the generator,

 (b)  
Install the tee-bolt nuts that hold the halves of the collector ring together.

 (c)  
Tighten the tee-bolt nuts that lock the collector ring halves together.

 (d)  
Install the clamps on the collector ring.

 (e)  
Install the bracket that holds the hydraulic tubes to the generator.

 CAUTION:_______ MAKE SURE THAT YOU INSTALL THE WASHERS BETWEEN THE
 TERMINAL NUTS AND THE EXCITER WIRES.  IF YOU INSTALL THE
 WASHERS BELOW THE EXCITER WIRES, RESISTANCE HEAT CAN
 OCCUR.  THIS HEAT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE GENERATOR

 TERMINAL BLOCK AND THE EXCITER WIRES.
 (f)  Connect the generator exciter wires to their terminals.
 1)  Tighten the nuts on the terminal block to a torque of 20 to 25 pound-inches.
 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT YOU INSTALL THE WASHERS BETWEEN THE
_______ TERMINAL NUTS AND THE GENERATOR WIRES. IF YOU INSTALL THE WASHERS BELOW THE GENERATOR WIRES, RESISTANCE HEAT CAN OCCUR. THIS HEAT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE GENERATOR TERMINAL BLOCK AND THE GENERATOR WIRES.
 (g)  
Install the generator wires to their terminals.

 1)  Tighten the nuts on the generator terminal block to a torque of 144 to 168 pound-inches.

 (h)  
Install the inlet duct for the cooling air to the generator blast cap.

 (i)  
Install the clamp block on the collector ring.

 Do this task: "Fill the CSD with Oil" (AMM 12-13-21/301).

 Do this task: "Fill the Spline Cavity with Oil" (AMM 12-13-21/301).

 Make sure that the accessory gear box and the CSD have no oil leaks.


 (a)  Stop for 30 minutes, and examine the system for oil leaks again.

 (13) AIRPLANES WITHOUT GENERATOR DRIVE OIL NO. 1 (OR NO. 2) LOW PRESS CIRCUIT BREAKER; Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE identifiers and close these circuit breakers:
 (a)  P6-3 Circuit Breaker Panel: 1) SEC 1 (or SEC 2)

 (b)  P6-4 Circuit Breaker Panel 1) GENERATOR DRIVE OIL NO. 1 (or NO. 2) TEMP 2) NO. 1 (or NO. 2) CSD CONT.

 (14) AIRPLANES WITH GENERATOR DRIVE OIL NO. 1 (OR NO.2) LOW PRESS CIRUCIT BREAKER; Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE identifiers and close these circuit breakers:
 (a)  P6-4 Circuit Breaker Panel 1) GENERATOR DRIVE OIL NO. 1 (or NO./2) LOW PRESS 2) GENERATOR DRIVE OIL NO. 1 (or NO./2) TEMP 3) NO. 1 (or NO. 2) CSD CONT.

 (15) Connect the CSD spline to the accessory gearbox.
 NOTE: You will find the T-handle to connect the CSD at the
____
 bottom of CSD.

 (a)  Pull the T-handle down until: 1) The handle stops. 2) You hear the solenoid nose pin move into its position in
 the pocket of the pawl.
 G. Do a Test of the CSD

 (1)  Close the generator control field relay.
 (a)  Push the generator control switch for GEN 1 or GEN 2 on the forward overhead panel to ON and then release it.

 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ENGINES DO NOT GO ABOVE THE MINIMUM IDLE.
