Make sure that the STANDBY POWER switch on the P5-5 panel is in the AUTO position.

Push the APU GEN No. 1 or No. 2 switch momentarily to ON.

Start APU (Ref 49-11-00/201).


 (a)  Make sure that the TRANSFER BUS OFF, BUS OFF, and GEN OFF BUS lights on the panel P5 come on.
 NOTE: The lights are above the GEN 1 and GEN 2 switches.

 (b)  Make sure that the APU GEN OFF BUS light on the panel P5 comes on after 15-30 seconds.
 NOTE: The APU will have usual speed in 15-30 seconds.

 (6)  Push and hold the switch S2 on the annunciator lights module M238 on the right load control center P6 to TEST.
 (a)  Make sure that the HV, LV, FF, and MT lights on the module M238 come on.
 NOTE: The lights will go off when you release the switch.

 (7)  Push the ERASE switch S1 on the module M238.

 (8) Turn the AC meter selector switch on the panel P5 to APU GEN.
 (a)  
Make sure that the voltmeter shows 115 | 5 volts ac.

 (b)  
Make sure the CPS FREQ meter shows:


 GTCP85-129 APU; UNLOADED 405-410 Hz, LOADED 397-417 Hz. GTCP36-280 APU; UNLOADED 395-405 Hz, LOADED 395-405 Hz. APS2000 APU; UNLOADED 395-405 Hz, LOADED 395-405 Hz.

 (9)  Put the APU GEN No. 1 switch on the panel P5 to ON.
 NOTE: This will supply power to the ac generator bus 1.

 WARNING:  MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS CLEAR OF OTHER PERSONS
_______ BEFORE YOU SUPPLY POWER TO THE AIRPLANE. HIGH VOLTAGES CAN CAUSE INJURIES.
 (1)  Put the two APU GEN switches to OFF.
 (a)  Make sure that the TRANSFER BUS OFF, BUS OFF, and APU GEN OFF BUS lights on the panel P5 come on.

 (2)  S 862-046Stop the APU (AMM 49-11-00/201).
 (3)  S 862-047Turn the BAT switch on the panel P5 to the OFF position.
 (4)  S 862-048Turn the dc meter switch on the P5-13 panel to the TR1 position.
 NOTE:____ The electrical power of the battery will decrease, if the dc meter switch stays in the BAT position for too much time.

 8. Supply Engine-Driven Generator Power to the Buses (Fig. 201)

 A. General
 (1)  
You can use the Engine-driven generator power to supply power to all the buses, but the external power buses.

 (2)  
Each ac generator bus can be supply with power with one engine on.
