Remove the union from the port.


 NOTE: Keep the inlet hose on the oil cooler attached to the

 (c)  Discard the O-ring.

 (5)  Remove the outlet line on the oil cooler:
 (a)  
Remove the three clamps from the outlet line on the oil cooler.

 (b)  
Loosen the fittings at each end of the outlet line on the oil cooler.

 (c)  
Remove the outlet line on the oil cooler.

 (6) Remove the T-fitting from the oil-out port on the oil cooler:
 (a)  
Disconnect the electrical connector from the switch on the T-fitting.

 (b)  
Remove the T-fitting from the oil-out port on the oil cooler.

 (c)  
Discard the O-ring.

 (7)  Remove the oil cooler:
 (a)  
Remove the eight fasteners from the oil cooler.

 (b)  
Remove the oil cooler.

 (c)  
Discard the gasket

 C. Procedure
 S 424-008
 (1)  Install the oil cooler:
 (a)  
Put the gasket on the oil cooler.

 (b)  
Put the oil cooler in its position on the engine fan case.


 NOTE: Make sure the oil in-port is lower than the oil-out port
____
 on the fan case.

 (c)  
Install the eight fasteners.

 (d)  
Tighten the eight fasteners.


 S 434-009
 (2)  Install the T-fitting:
 (a)  
Put the O-ring on the T-fitting.

 (b)  
Install the T-fitting to the oil-out port on the oil cooler.

 (c)  
Connect the electrical connector to the switch on the T-fitting.

 (d)  
Connect the outlet line to the T-fitting at the oil-out port on the oil cooler.

 (e)  
Install the three clamps.


 S 434-010
 (3)  Install the union to the oil-in port on the oil cooler:
 (a)  
Put the O-ring on the union.

 (b)  
Connect the union to the oil-in port on the oil cooler.


 S 434-011
 (4)  Connect the inlet hose to the union at the oil-in port on the oil cooler.
 D. Do a Leak Check of the Oil Cooler
 S 414-013
 (1) Close the fan duct cowl and thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

 (2)  S 864-018Operate the engine (AMM 71-00-00/201): (a) Start the engine. (b) Permit the engine to operate at minimum idle speed for three minutes. (c) Stop the engine.
 (3)  S 014-015Open the right fan duct cowl and thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).
 (4)  S 214-016Examine these connections for leaks: (a) The oil-in ports (b) The oil-out ports (c) The T-fitting (d) The outlet line.
 (5)  S 414-017Close the fan cowl and thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).
