4. Disconnect Test - Variable Speed Constant Frequency Generator/Converter
_______________________________________________________________________
NOTE: This is a scheduled maintenance task.
____
A. General
(1)
This test will make sure that the disconnect circuits for the VSCF operate correctly. When you push the DISCONNECT switch, the VSCF disconnects electrically (removes the field current) and the generator continues to turn. When you push the switch on the VSCF to INDICATE, the VSCF connects again.
