 4.  Standby Power System - System Test__________________________________
 A. General
 (1)  
This test uses the annunciator lights module (M238) on the P6 right load control center. To get indication from this module, you must push the INDICATE/TEST switch (S2) to INDICATE.

 (2)  
To get accurate results from this test, the ac generation system (Ref 24-21-00) and the dc generation system (Ref 24-31-00) must operate correctly.

 (1)  Make sure that the circuit breakers for the dc and standby power systems are closed:
 (a)  
The circuit breakers on the J9 panel

 (b)  
The circuit breakers on the P6-4 panel

 (c)  
The circuit breakers on the P6-5 panel

 (d)  
The circuit breakers on the P6-6 panel.

Supply external power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Do a Test of the Usual AC Source to the Standby Bus

 (a)  
Make sure that these lights are off: 1) STANDBY POWER OFF 2) TRANSFER BUS OFF No. 1 and No. 2 3) BUS OFF No. 1 and No. 2

 (b)  
Push the INDICATE/TEST switch (S2) on the annunciator lights module (M238) to INDICATE. 1) Make sure that the DC BUS PWR ON NO. 1 light on the

 annunciator lights module (M238) comes on.

 (c)  
Push the INDICATE/TEST switch (S2) on the annunciator lights module (M238) to INDICATE. 1) Make sure that these lights on the annunciator lights

 


 module (M238) come on: a) The AC BUS PWR ON STBY light

 b)  The DC BUS PWR ON STBY light.
 (d)  
Turn the ac meters switch on the P5 panel to STBY PWR.

 1)  Make sure the voltmeter reads 115 |5 volts ac and the frequency meter reads 400 | 5 Hz.

 (e)  
Make sure that the INV CONT and INV PWR circuit breakers on the P6-4 (or P6-5) panel are closed.

 (f)  
Make sure that the INVERTER VOLTS circuit breaker on the P6-5 panel is closed.

 (g)  
Turn the AC meters switch to the INV position.

 1)  Make sure that the voltage is 115 | 5 volts and the frequency is 400 | 5 Hz.

 (h)  
Turn the dc meters switch on the P5 panel to STBY PWR. 1) Make sure that the voltmeter shows 26 |4 volts dc.

 (i)  
Turn the dc meters switch to BAT BUS.

 (j)  
Make sure that the voltmeter shows 26 |4 volts dc.

 (k)  
Move the GRD PWR switch to OFF. 1) Make sure the STANDBY POWER OFF light comes on.


 WARNING:_______ MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE
 LEADING EDGE SLATS BEFORE YOU PUT THE AIRPLANE IN THE AIR
 MODE.  THE LEADING EDGE SLATS CAN EXTEND AUTOMATICALLY
 WHEN YOU PUT THE AIRPLANE IN THE AIR MODE.  THIS CAN CAUSE

 INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (l)  Push the GROUND SENSING test switch (button) on the E11 landing gear logic shelf and hold it there (AMM 32-09-10/001). 1) Make sure the STANDBY POWER OFF light goes off. 2) Open the DC STBY POWER-TR circuit breaker on the P6-5
 panel.
 3)  Turn the dc meters switch to STBY PWR.
 4)  Make sure the voltmeter shows 24 |4 volts dc.
 5)  Close the DC STBY POWER-TR circuit breaker on the P6-5
 panel. 6) Release the GROUND SENSING test switch. a) Make sure that the STANDBY PWR OFF light comes on.
 (m)  Move the GRD PWR switch to ON. 1) Make sure the STBY POWER OFF light goes off. 2) Open the DC STBY POWER BAT circuit breaker on the P6-5
