Continue to adjust the inboard door for the wheel well.
(a)
Tighten the nut on the linkage rod of inboard door to 600 -1500 pound-inches (View B, Fig. 502).

Adjust the door system preload.
(a)
Complete the installation of the forward door stop with the necessary shim.

Operate the release handle to close the wheel well doors for the wing and body landing gears.

Remove the pressure from hydraulic systems No. 1 and 4

Continue to adjust the door system preload.

WHEN YOU MAKE THIS ADJUSTMENT.
(a) Make sure that the stop on the door barely touches the forward door stop plate (View E-E, Fig. 503).

Continue to adjust the door system preload.
(a)
Turn the end fitting one and one-half turns to decrease the length of the linkage rod for the inboard door (View B, Fig. 502).
NOTE: One-half turn will decrease the dimension between
____ the pin-to-pin center by 0.031 inch.
(b)
Tighten the nut on the linkage rod 600 to 1500 pound-inches.

Adjust The Sequence Valve and The Strike Board (Fig. 502 and 505).

Adjust the sequence valve and the strike board.
(a)
Install the rigging pin (WD-1 LH, WD-2 RH) at point A through the two sides of the link carrier and the link assembly (View A, Fig. 502).
(b)
If you can not install the rigging pin freely, adjust the sequence valve linkage.
CAUTION: DO NOT MOVE THE DOOR WITH THE VALVE LINKAGE
_______ CONNECTED AND INCORRECTLY ADJUSTED OR THE VALVE RIGGING PIN NOT REMOVED. IT CAN CAUSE DAMAGED TO THE VALVE MECHANISM.
1) Disconnect the linkage rod of the sequence valve at point B (View A-A, Fig./502). 2) Put the sequence valve and the link carrier with your hand to align the rigging pin hole at point A.
3) Install a 0.250-inch diameter rigging pin (WD-3 LH, WD-4 RH) through the two sides of the link carrier and the link assembly to get the alignment.
4) Loosen 4 bolts that attach the serrated bracket (View B, Fig. 502) on the inboard door.
5) Adjust the serrated fitting on the inboard door to attach the linkage rod of the sequence valve at the point B (Fig. 502).
6) Tighten 4 bolts on the serrated bracket. 7) Tighten the nut on the linkage rod at point B to 25 - 50 pound-inches.
(c) Use the door locks to open the door fully with the rigging pin in its position.
