 E. Procedure
 S 224-045
 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO NOT MOVE OR DAMAGE THE WING GEAR TRUCK
_______ SENSORS OR TARGET BRACKET. IF THE TARGET BRACKET OR SENSORS ARE MOVED, THEN THE AIRPLANE SYSTEMS MAY NOT RECOGNIZE AN IN-AIR CONDITION.
 (1)  
If the sensor or target bracket is moved or damaged, then do the task to measure the wing landing gear truck sensor clearance (AMM 32-61-22/201).

 (2)  
Remove the electrical conduit from the torsion links.

 (a)  
Remove the angle support bracket (9, Fig. 401) from the upper torsion link.

 (b)  
Remove the nut (5, Fig. 402) and the washer (6), and then pull the electrical conduit bracket (4) from the through pin (7).

 (c)  
Remove the conduit clamp (5, Fig. 403) from the lower torsion link.

 (d)  
Remove the bolts (7) and washers (8) to remove the fairlead assembly (3) from the lower link bolt (16).


 NOTE: Pull the fairlead assembly (3) out of the bolt (16).

 (e)  
Remove the sensors (10, Fig. 401) from the upper torsion link.

 (f)  
Pull the electrical assembly away without the removal of the wires.

 (3)  
Remove the hydraulic lines from the torsion links.

 (a)  
Remove the hose clamp (12, Fig. 401) on the upper torsion link.

 (b)  
Remove the lockbolt (10, Fig. 402) on the outboard end of apex bolt (13).

 (c)  
Remove the hydraulic pivot (1) and the bracket (2) from the top.

 (d)  
Remove the hydraulic clamp (1, Fig. 403) from the hose bracket on the lower torsion link.

 (e)  
Remove the lower hose bracket (2) from the lower torsion link flange.

 (4)  
Remove the aft inboard wheel and the tire (Ref 32-45-01/401).

 WARNING: BEFORE YOU REMOVE THE BOLT (8), MAKE SURE YOU MECHANICALLY HOLD
_______ THE UPPER AND THE LOWER TORSION LINKS AND THE BELLCRANK. THIS WILL PREVENT POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO PARTS. THE TORSION LINKS WEIGH 82 POUNDS.
 (5)  Remove the apex nut (9, Fig. 402) and the washer (8).
 NOTE: Pull out the apex bolt (13) and the through-pin (7).

Remove the lockbolt (8, Fig. 401) and the nut (7) from the bolt (4).

 (7)  
Remove the truck lock assembly (5) from the upper torsion link (AMM 32-11-23/401).

 WARNING: USE A LIFTING DEVICE FOR THE REMOVAL OF THE UPPER TORSION
_______ LINK. THE UPPER TORSION LINK WEIGHS 82 POUNDS. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO PARTS.
 (8)  
Pull out the bolt (4, Fig. 401) from the upper torsion link (3) and the shock strut cylinder.

 (a)  
Remove the upper torsion link from the airplane.

 (9)  Remove the lockbolt (15, Fig. 403), the nut (14), and the washer (13).

 WARNING:_______USE A LIFTING DEVICE FOR REMOVAL. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO PARTS.
 (10) Pull out the lower link attach bolt (16) and remove the lower torsion link (4) from the airplane.
