 C.  The inner cylinder, complete with lower attachment lugs is machined from one forging.
 D.  A pressure gage is mounted on the lower portion of the strut to read strut charge pressure.
 E.  A flow fuse is provided in the line connecting the shock strut pressure gage to the outer cylinder. In case of malfunction or damage to gage, hydraulic fluid loss will be limited.
 F.  A shutoff valve is provided in the line connecting the shock strut pressure gage to the outer cylinder to facilitate maintenance on the pressure gage and associated plumbing.
 4.  Body Gear Side Brace

 A.  The body gear one-piece side brace aids in stabilizing the body gear shock strut. The lower end of the side brace is pinned to a lug on the lower inboard side of the shock strut outer cylinder. The upper end of the side brace is attached to a lug on the lower portion of the trunnion.
 5.  Body Gear Drag Strut

 A.  The body gear drag strut assembly provides lateral end directional support for the shock strut. The drag strut assembly consists of an upper strut and a lower strut. An apex bolt attaches the two struts, which hinge inward toward the shock strut on extension or retraction. The upper end of the upper drag strut contains the upper spindle, which attaches to body structure. The bottom end of the lower segment attaches to a universal which is fastened to a lug on the forward center section of the shock strut outer cylinder.
 B.  A straight spindle located in the center of the upper drag strut is the attach point for the downlock actuator. A bracket located in the center of the lower drag strut is the attach point for the downlock bungee. The other ends of both the downlock actuator and bungee attach to the lower strut of the jury brace assembly. The lower jury strut is attached to the center hinge of the drag strut assembly with the same apex pin holding the drag strut segments together.

 6.  Body Gear Jury Strut

 A.  The body gear jury strut provides a stiffening member for the drag strut assembly. The upper segment contains a straight spindle which attaches to a structural fitting on the keel beam. The lower segment attaches to the hinge portion of the drag strut through a common apex bolt.
 7.  Body Gear Wheel Truck

 A.  The body gear truck is a tubular steel beam to which the forward and aft axles are attached. A jacking pad and a towing eye are located on front and aft ends of the truck beam. The lower torsion link attaches to the upper aft portion of the truck beam.
 B.  The forward and aft horizontal arms of the truck beam carry the one-piece axles. Each axle is locked into position by a retaining fitting. The retaining fittings are bolted to the center of the axle inside the truck beam. Axles are machined on each side of the truck beams to support wheel bearing bushings and brake housing bushings. Brake housings carry the brake assembly and provide attachment lugs for brake equalizer rods. Brake equalizer rods link the brake housings with the lower terminal of the shock strut inner cylinder. This arrangement aids in preventing porpoising as brakes are applied on landing or taxi-roll.
 C.  The truck beam is machined and drilled horizontally at the center to mate with the yoke at the lower end of the shock strut inner cylinder. One large bolt attaches the truck to the shock strut. Hydraulic tubing and electric wiring are attached to the truck. The static ground wire attaches to the aft end of the truck beam.
 D.  The truck beams of the wing and body gears are interchangeable. Lugs for attaching truck positioning actuators are provided on each truck beam. Aft lugs for attaching wing gear truck positioning actuator, and forward lugs for attaching body gear truck positioner. The unused holes should have protective covers installed to preclude bushing damage.
 E.  Each truck beam is protected from damage by a shield clamped under the truck.
 8.  Body Gear Brake Rods

 A.  The body gear brake equalizer rods are fixed length rigid units. Each rod is mounted between lug on the brake housing and the shock strut inner cylinder lower terminal.
