(3) Do this task: "Installation of the Door Locks on the Body Landing Gear" (AMM 32-00-30/201).

WARNING: DO NOT REMOVE THE VALVE BODY UNTIL YOU DEFLATE THE SHOCK STRUT.
_______ THE INTERNAL PRESSURE CAN BLOW THE VALVE OUT. THIS WILL CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
CAUTION: REMOVE THE PRESSURE FIRST FROM THE WING LANDING GEAR OR REMOVE
_______ IT EQUALLY FROM ALL OF THE MAIN LANDING GEAR. THE AIRPLANE CAN FALL TO THE SIDE IF YOU REMOVE THE PRESSURE INCORRECTLY.
CAUTION: BEFORE YOU DEFLATE THE STRUT MAKE SURE THAT THE AREA BELOW THE
_______ WINGS IS CLEAR. WHEN YOU DEFLATE THE STRUT THE WING CAN LOWER MANY FEET, WHICH CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
(4) Remove the air charging valve caps from all the shock struts of the main landing gears to release the air pressure.
NOTE: Loosen the outer nut a maximum of two turns.

Permit the inner cylinders to fully compress.

Remove the air charging valve from the top of the shock strut that you will service.

Remove the flow fuse from the lower outer cylinder (AMM 32-13-02/201).

Drain approximately 3 gallons of fluid from the lower port into applicable container or tray.

Remove the remaining fluid from the shock strut with a pump.
(a)
Put approximately 32 inches of the plastic tube into the air charging port at the top of the strut.
(b)
Remove the remaining fluid (approximately 10 gallons).
