WARNING: PUT A SUITABLE SUPPORT UNDER THE STEERING YOKE, STEERING
_______ CYLINDERS, AND TORSION LINK BEFORE YOU REMOVE THE YOKE ATTACH PIN. TOGETHER, THESE PARTS WEIGH APPROXIMATELY 437 POUNDS AND COULD CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT IF THEY ARE ALLOWED TO FALL.
(8) Disconnect the steering yoke from the shock strut, and lower the steering mechanism (steering yoke, steering cylinders, and torsion link) to the wheel truck.
NOTE: You can leave this steering mechanism connected to the
____ wheel truck if you provide adequate protective pads and supports.

(9) Remove the two brake rod bolts to disconnect the brake rods from the inner cylinder of the shock strut.
NOTE: If it is not easy to remove the bolts, use the overhead
____ mechanical equipment to remove the weight of the brake rods.

Disconnect the shock strut from the wheel truck.

Remove the pivot nut and washer from the truck pivot bolt.
(b)
Use the overhead mechanical equipment to remove the weight of the shock strut from the pivot bolt.
(c)
Remove the pivot bolt.

(11) Carefully lift the shock strut off the wheel truck with the overhead mechanical equipment.
