Adjust the inboard shock strut door.
(a)
With the wing gear retracted and the linkage rod connected, measure the clearance and mismatch between the door and wing panels (View B-B, Fig. 506).
NOTE:____Do not adjust the door hinge halves. The door hinges have been positioned by special tooling which makes sure of interchangeability. Do not add or remove shims to adjust hinge fittings.
(b)
If the measured dimensions are more than the limits (Fig. 506), adjust the linkage rod (View C, Fig. 506) to align the door.
NOTE: Make sure you can see the rod end threads through
____ the inspection hole of the linkage rod.
(c)
Tighten the linkage rod nut to 290 - 410 pound-inches and install safety wire.
(d)
Align the forward edge of the door with the adjacent wing panel surface by adjusting the linkage rods of the fixed trailing edge ( Detail D, Fig. 506 Sheet 2 ).
