Procedure
(1)
Install the ground locks in all landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).

WARNING:_______ YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO INSTALL
THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE
QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS
CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2)
Do this task: "Installation of the Door Locks on the Wing Landing Gear" (AMM 32-00-30/201).

Do this task: "Installation of the Door Locks on the Body Landing Gear" (AMM 32-00-30/201).

(4)
Do a check for the wear limits of the attach points (AMM 32-11-22/601).

(5)
Lubricate the washer surfaces, the shank, and the threads of the bolt (which attaches the universal to the positioning link), with grease.

(6)
Connect the universal to the positioning link with pin and end caps.
(a)
Attach with the bolt, the flat washer, and the nut.
(b)
Tighten the nut and install the cotter pin.

(7) Lubricate the washers, the shank, and the threads of the bolt (which attaches the positioning link to the bellcrank), with grease.

CAUTION:_______YOU MUST INSTALL THE BOLT AS SHOWN IN FIGURE 401. THE INCORRECT INSTALLATION OF THE BOLT CAN CAUSE THE BOLT HEAD TO TOUCH THE OTHER PARTS.
(8)
Set the link until you can align the holes in the bellcrank with the spherical bearing.
(a)
Install the pin, and add the end cap.
(b)
Attach with the bolt, the washer, and the nut.
(c)
Tighten the nut and install the cotter pin.

(9) Lubricate the tang washer, the shank, and the threads of the bolt, (which attaches the universal to the truck beam), with grease.

CAUTION:_______YOU MUST INSTALL THE BOLT AS SHOWN IN FIGURE 401. THE INCORRECT INSTALLATION OF THE BOLT CAN CAUSE A PROBLEM WHEN THE GEAR RETRACTS.

Align the holes in the universal and the truck beam.
(a)
Insert the bolt, the tang washer and the self-locking nut.
(b)
Tighten the nut 300 to 420 pound-inches.
