(a)
Turn the end fitting one and one-half turns to decrease the length of the linkage rod for the inboard door (View B, Fig. 502).
NOTE: Make one-half turn to decrase the dimension between
____ the pin-to-pin center by 0.031 inch.
(b)
Tighten the nut on the linkage rod to 600 - 1500 pound-inches.
J.
Adjust the sequence valve and the strike board (Fig. 502 and 505).

(1)
Adjust the sequence valve and the strike board.
(a)
Temporarily attach the linkage rod of the sequence valve to the rod end fitting at point B (View A, Fig. 502) with the fasteners.

(b)
Install the rigging pin (WD-1 LH, WD-2 RH) at point A through the two sides of the link carrier and link assembly (View A, Fig. 502).
(c)
If you can not install the rigging pin freely, adjust the sequence valve linkage.
CAUTION: YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE VALVE MECHANISM IF YOU
_______ MOVE THE DOOR WITH THE VALVE LINKAGE CONNECTED AND INCORRECTLY ADJUSTED. IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE RIGGING PIN, IT CAN ALSO CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE VALVE MECHANISM.
1) Disconnect the linkage rod of the sequence valve at point B (Fig. 502).
2) Use your hand to align the rigging pin hole at point A to set the sequence valve and the link carrier.
3) Put a 0.250-inch diameter rigging pin (WD-3 LH, WD-4 RH) through the two sides of the link carrier and the link assembly to get the alignment.
4) Loosen 4 bolts that attach the bracket (View B, Fig. 502) on the inboard door.
5) Adjust the serrated fitting on the inboard door to attach the linkage rod of the sequence valve at point B (Fig. 502).
6) Tighten the 4 bolts on the bracket again.
7) Tighten the nut on the linkage rod at point B to 25 - 50 pound-inches.
NOTE: On airplanes with adjustable sequence rod assembly you can adjust its length to allow the installation of the rig pin as an alternative to adjusting the serrated bracket.
(d) Use the door locks to open the door fully with the rigging pin in position, examine the full open dimension (distance from the buttock plane zero to the door midfold hinge) at the front end of the door (View A, Fig. 505).
NOTE: Hang a plumb bob at point E and Y (Views B and C,
____ Fig. 505) to get the buttock plane zero. The airplane must have the usual load distribution, the equal tire and the shock strut inflation. Put a floor mark label on the floor below each plumb bob point. Write a line between the two points.
(e) If you can not keep the full open dimension for the door, adjust the serrated fitting on the inboard door. 1) Remove the rigging pin (WD-3 LH, WD-4 RH).

Adjust the strike board as follows:
(a)
Install the rigging pin (WD-1 LH, WD-2 RH) at point A through the two sides of the link carrier and link assembly (Fig. 502).
(b)
Disconnect the linkage rod of the sequence valve from the rod end fitting at point B.
