B. Procedure

(1)
Install the truck shield.
(a)
Use the six bolts to install the truck shield on the three brackets.
(b)
Use the six bolts to install the pull box.
NOTE: If it is not easy to install the bolts, you can adjust
____ the position of the pull box to make the installation possible.
(c)
Connect the hydraulic guides to the shield and the forward bracket.
(d)
Connect the brake rod lanyards to the truck shield.
NOTE: Hold the lanyards with the pin and the cotter pin.

WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO REMOVE THE
_______ DOOR LOCKS FROM THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Remove clamp B from the airplane.
(b)
Remove four nuts, four washers, and four bolts from the bumper plate and remove the bumper plate and bumper from clamp B.

Install the bumper.

Install the bumper (Fig. 402):
(a)
Use the solvent to clean the bumper plate and the area on clamp B where the bumper plate and clamp touch.
NOTE: Use a clean dry cloth to wipe them dry.
