Attach the conduit clamps (1) to the brackets on the side brace (3).

Do a check on the conduit locknuts at the shock strut J-box, the upper side strut clamp, and the wheel well connector.
(a)
If the nuts are loose or the lockwire is damaged, tighten the nuts and install the lockwire.
NOTE: The torque values for the conduit nuts are 175 to 200
____ pound-inches (20 to 22.6 NM) on the 3/8 inch fittings. For the nuts with a 1/2 inch and larger fittings, the torque values are 175 to 225 pound-inches (20 to 25 NM).

A. The inspection of the body gear side brace examines the fit of
the side-brace bolt assemblies.
B. To do the inspection/check, you must remove the side brace and the top and bottom bolt assemblies.

Remove the side brace and bolt assemblies from the top and bottom of the brace (Ref 32-13-03/401).

Do a check of the fits of the side brace bolt assemblies, the bushings and the spherical bearing.
(a)
Measure the parts as necessary and compare the measured dimensions to the limit dimensions.
(b)
If the part is not in tolerance, repair or replace the part as necessary.
NOTE: If the width dimension of the spherical bearing is out
____ of tolerance, remove the bearing.

(3) Install the spherical bearing (if removed), the side brace, and the bolt assemblies (Ref 32-13-03/401).
