 (17) Install the electrical conduit.
 (a)  Attach the sensors (10, Fig. 401) on the upper torsion link
 (3).
 (b)  Examine the conduit sleeving between the fairlead assembly and
 the electrical conduit bracket.
 NOTE:____ If it is missing or damaged, replace with the dimension
 of new sleeving shown in Figure 404 (4 places).
 (c)  Attach the conduit and the bracket (4, Fig. 402) on the end of
 the through pin (7).
 NOTE:____ Hold them with the washer (6) and the nut (5).
 (d)  Install the fairlead assembly (3, Fig. 403) into the bolt (16)
 and install the washers (8) and the bolts (7).
 (e)  Attach the conduit clamp (5) to lower the hose bracket for the
 torsion link.
 (f)  Install the angle support bracket (9, Fig. 401) on the upper
 torsion link (3).

 CAUTION:_______ INSTALL THE LACING ON THE FULL LENGTH OF THE ELECTRICAL
 CONDUIT.  THE FULL LENGTH OF THE LACING PREVENTS THE
 FRAYING OF THE CONDUIT AT THE CONDUIT FITTINGS.  AN
 ELECTRICAL FAILURE CAN OCCUR IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE

 LACING CORRECTLY.
 (g)  
Install new protective lacing on the electrical conduit (2, Fig. 401) if the lacing does not fully cover the areas (Fig. 404).

 (h)  
Examine the safety wires on all conduit nuts from the main disconnect J box to the wheel trucks.

 (i)  
If the wires are loose or damaged, remove the safety wires.

 (j)  
Tighten the conduit nuts, and replace the safety wire.

 NOTE: The torque value for the conduit nuts is 175 to 200
____ pound-inches for nuts that have an outer diameter of 3/8-inch. And the torque valve is 175 to 225 pound-inches for nuts that have an outer diameter of 1/2-inch and larger.

 (18) Install the hydraulic brake lines and the brackets.
 (a)  Install the lower hose bracket (2, Fig. 403) on the lower
 torsion link.
 (b)  Install the hydraulic clamps (1) on the hose bracket.
 (c)  Install the hydraulic bracket (2, Fig. 402) and the hydraulic
 pivot (1).
 NOTE:____ Make sure you align the lockbolt holes.

 (19) Tighten the apex nut (9, Fig. 402) 2160 to 2400 pound-inches.
 NOTE: Loosen the nut to the nearest castellation if it is
____ necessary.

 Install the lockbolt (10), the washer and the self-locking nut.

 Apply the temper-proof putty to the lockbolt nut.

 NOTE: If you move the lockbolt nut, the putty will break.

 (22) Tighten the nut (5) that holds the electrical bracket (4) on the through pin (7) with the standard torque value.
 NOTE: Install the cotter pin.

 (23) Attach the hose clamp (12, Fig. 401) on the three hydraulic hoses on the upper torsion link (3).

 QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY.  THIS

 CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
