Remove the outboard bearing cap (15) and the bearing retention key (14) by removing two bolts (17).
NOTE:____The bearing remains on the trunnion. Note the position of the cap to facilitate its reinstallation.
CAUTION: A LIMITED CLEARANCE EXISTS BETWEEN THE GEAR COMPONENTS AND
_______ THE AIRPLANE STRUCTURE. VIOLATION OF THE CLEARANCE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENTS AND STRUCTURE.
(d)
Slowly jack the airplane away from the body gear, watching the clearance between the gear and the airplane structure.
(e)
Remove the upper bushing half (4) from the inboard bearing when the trunnion (5) clears the support fitting.

(f)
Continue to jack the airplane until it clears the gear.
(g)
Roll the gear from under airplane using an automotive type jack under the forward end of the truck for steering.
