Remove the lockbolts (4) from two housing pins (3) for the lower bearing.

Remove the inboard pin and use the puller to remove the outboard pin.
NOTE: Remove the shim (8) when you remove the outboard pin.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT YOU HOLD THE TRUNNION FORK WITH THE HOIST
_______ BEFORE YOU REMOVE THE BOLTS (14). IF YOU DO NOT HOLD THE TRUNNION FORK, THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO TO THE PARTS. THE TRUNNION FORK WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 70 POUNDS.

Use the thread protector to remove the bolts (14) from the trunnion fork joint.

Use the hoist to turn the trunnion fork (7) aft and up to isolate it from the shock strut lugs.

Make sure that the bearing housing (1) moves freely when it is attached to the upper housing pins (2).

CAUTION:_______DO NOT REMOVE THE BEARING FULLY OUT OF THE HOUSING. THE OUTER RACE OF THE BEARING (5) WILL BREAK OPEN. IF YOU DO NOT HOLD IT, THE OUTER RACE (5) WILL FALL AND BECOME DAMAGED.

Let the bearing outer race (5) move out of the housing.

Move the bearing approximately 1 inch out.
NOTE: Put lockwire or strong tape tightly around the
____ circumference of the open surface of the bearing.

Turn the trunnion fork (7) up and aft until the bearing is clear of the housing (1).

Lower the trunnion fork (7) and the bearing (5) to the floor.

Remove the lopckwire or tape from the bearing (5) and remove the bearing from the fork (7).
