Adjust The Inboard Door Of The Wheel Well (Fig. 502 and 503)

Adjust the inboard door of the wheel well.
(a)
Remove the forward door stop bolt, the related shim and the stop plate (View E-E, Fig. 503).

(2) Pressurize the hydraulic systems No. 1 and 4
(AMM 29-11-00/201).

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT ALL PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE DOOR
_______ OPERATION PATHS. DO NOT MOVE THE DOORS TOO QUICKLY. IT CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Operate the release handle to close the wheel well door for the wing and body landing gear.

Continue to adjust the inboard door of the wheel well.
(a)
Make sure that the aft stop touches the door.
(b)
Measure the mismatch at the forward end of the door as shown on View A-A, Fig. 503.
(c)
Adjust the mismatch again if it is necessary.

Continue to adjust the inboard door of the wheel well.
(a)
Continue to adjust the mismatch again, if it is necessary.
1) Adjust the linkage rod end of the inboard wheel well door to align the forward edge of the door (View A-A, Fig. 503).
NOTE: One-half turn on the rod end will move the
____ forward edge of the door 0.08 inch vertically.

Make sure that the aft stop touches the door.
(b)
Measure the mismatch at the forward end of the door as shown on View A-A, Fig. 503.
(c)
Make sure that the mismatch is in the approved tolerance.
CAUTION: DO NOT STAND ON THE DOOR OR APPLY THE FORCE TO THE DOOR

WHEN YOU MAKE THIS ADJUSTMENT.
(d) Find the necessary shim thickness at the forward door stop to set the stop plate to touch the stop on the door (View E-E, Fig. 503).
