Operate the release handle to open the wheel well doors for the wing and body landing gear.

 (3)
Adjust the door fairing for the shock strut (Fig. 507 Sheet 2).

 (a)  
Loosen the bolts (1) on the fairing.

 (b)  
Adjust the door fairing to align with the body fairing in the tolerances. Add or remove shims if needed, between the inboard door and the fairing. (View A-A and B-B, Fig. 507). 1) Shim the forward and aft ends first. Shim gaps greater than


 .006 inch on remaining middle three frame stations.
 2)  The maximun shim thickness is .18 inch. Make the width and Length as needed to match the footprint of the fairing within t/- .05 inch.
 3)  Maintain a minimum edge margin of .50 inch on both
 fasteners at any frame station. 4) Fay surface seal between frames and each shim used. 5) Fillet seal gap between the fairing and the door.
 (c)  Tighten the bolts (1) to set the location of the door fairing.

 (4)  Pressurize the hydraulic systems No. 1 and 4
 (AMM 29-11-00/201).
