Install the Uplock Roller
S 642-009
(1)
Lubricate the bolt shanks, the threads, and the washer surface of the uplock roller bolt (1) with grease.
(a)
Apply a small amount of petrolatum to the surface of the needle bearings (4), and the internal side of the roller (2).

Install the uplock roller bolt (1).
(a)
Install the roller assembly.
NOTE: The roller (2), the two sets of the needle bearings (4)
____ and sleeve (3) that goes into the shock strut make the roller assembly.

Install the uplock roller nut (5).
(a)
Tighten the nut from 60 to 120 pound-inches more than the drive torque.
(b)
Loosen the nut to align the holes with lock.

Turn the roller (2) by hand to make sure it moves freely.

Adjust the drag brace pin on the wing landing gear if you cannot turn it (Ref Wing Landing Gear Drag Brace Pin).

Install the cotter pin.
