(1) Remove the oil fill valve (4) and the pressure cap (5) from the removed pressure gage assembly (3).
NOTE: Use these on the replacement assembly if a new oil fill valve
____ and a new pressure cap are not necessary.

Clean the oil fill valve (4) with solvent.
(a)
Flush the oil fill valve (4) with acetone.
(b)
Make the valve dry with a clean cloth to remove all signs of the solvent.
(c)
Soak the O-ring in some of the hydraulic fluid for the shock strut.

Install the O-ring on the oil fill valve (4).

Install the oil fill valve (4) with the pressure cap (5) on the pressure gage assembly (3).

Tighten the valve to 22-25 pound-inches.

Put the pressure gage assembly on the shock strut clamps.

Install the four nuts (2) and washers (1).

Connect the hydraulic tube to the pressure gage assembly (3).

Install a lockwire from the oil fill valve (4) to the tube connection.

Slowly open the shutoff valve (9) with a 3/16-inch hex wrench.

Make sure the pressure gage operates correctly.

Make sure there is no leakage.

Put the Airplane back to its Usual Condition

_______ THE DOOR LOCKS FROM THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
