C. Procedure

Examine inboard door hinges and actuator rod attach points for allowable wear (Ref 32-12-06/601).

Examine the inboard door hinge and the attach points of the actuator rod for permitted wear limits (Ref 32-12-06/601).

Make sure you install the bushings in each hinge on the inboard door.

Install the bushing in the hinge on the outboard door (Details B and C, Fig. 401).

Install the Inboard Door of the Shock Strut (Fig. 401)

Set the door for installation and install the hinge bolts (Details B and C, Fig. 401).

Tighten the nuts on the two small hinges 60 - 85 pound-inches.

Tighten the nut on the large hinge 370 - 610 pound-inches.

Clean and install the bonding jumper.

Connect the linkage rod to the inboard door.

Measure the length and adjust the linkage rod if you replace it or if you change the length.
NOTE: You must see the rod threads through the inspection hole

of the linkage rod.
1) If the attach fitting of the inboard door is a bolt on (clevis type), do the step below: a) Adjust the rod to 21.50 inches measured from the center
of each rod end.

2) If the attach fitting of the inboard door is the integral clevis type, do the step below: a) Adjust the rod to 21.80 measured from the center of
each rod end.

WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO REMOVE THE
_______ DOOR LOCKS FROM THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
