Install the bungee clamp on the bungee assembly.

Install the downlock bungee (Fig. 401):
(a)
Install the bungee between the lower jury strut and the upper side strut.
NOTE: You will connect the rod end to the lower jury strut and
____ the head end to the upper side strut.
(b)
Lubricate the bolt shanks and the washer faces with grease.
(c)
Install the bolts at the two ends of the bungee.
(d)
Tighten the nuts to 360-420 pound-inches.
(e)
Loosen the nut to align the nearest castellation with the hole in the bolt.
(f)
Install the cotter pin.
(g)
Lubricate the grease fittings in each bolt head.

(4) Carefully remove the bungee clamp.

WING LANDING GEAR DOOR ACTUATOR SWIVEL JOINT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This procedure contains these two tasks:
(1)
The removal of the swivel joint for the door actuator of the wing landing gear
(2)
The installation of the swivel joint for the door actuator of the wing landing gear.
B.
To remove the swivel joint these operations are necessary:
(1)
Remove the attach bolts from the swivel joint.
(2)
Make sure the swivel joint turns freely.
C.
To install the swivel joint these operations are necessary:
(1)
Lubricate the O-rings and the backup rings.
(2)
Install the swivel joint with the screw and the lockwire.
(3)
Do a check of the swivel joint operation.
D.
The swivel joints connect the door actuator to the hydraulic system. They are in the wheel well for the wing landing gear. Use this procedure to remove and install the seals and the joints if you find them defective.

(1) Install the ground locks in all landing gear (Ref 09-11-00/201).
