Remove the bolts from the two ends of the actuator rod.

Remove the actuator rod from the airplane.

(1)
Install the valve mechanism (Fig. 401):
(a)
Install the actuator rod through the hole in the longeron below the valve.
(b)
Connect the rod to the valve clevis with the bolt, thin washers, and the nut.

(c) Install the cotter pin.
(d) Connect the lower end of the actuator rod to the uplock hook
mechanism.
NOTE:____ Use thin washers adjacent to the bolt head. Use large
steel washers that are corrosion resistant on the two
sides of the rod bearing.
(e) Install the nut and the cotter pin.
(f) Make sure the bar on the valve slide is between the two edges
of the slot.
NOTE:____ The slot is on the top end of the valve (See section
A-A, Fig. 401).

_______ THE DOOR LOCKS FROM THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

PRESSURE OPERATED RESTRICTOR CHECK VALVE - REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This procedure contains these two tasks:
(1)
The removal of the pressure operated restrictor check valve (referred to as the valve)
(2)
The installation of the pressure operated restrictor check valve.
B.
To remove the valve these steps are necessary:
(1)
Disconnect the hydraulic lines from the valve.
(2)
Remove the attach bolts.
(3)
Remove the valve.
C.
To install the check valve these steps are necessary:
(1)
Install the hydraulic fittings in the valve.
(2)
Install the valve with the attach bolts.
(3)
Connect the hydraulic lines to the valve.
(4)
Do a check of the hydraulic connections to the valve.
D.
The pressure operated restrictor check valve is in the alternate extension system for the wing landing gear. This valve decreases the speed of the extension of the wing landing gear. The decrease occurs during the first 4 to 6 seconds of landing gear movement.
