Loosen the nut (15) to permit the installation of the cotter pin.
(i)
Remove the plugs and the caps from the hydraulic lines (8 and 9).
(j)
Connect the hydraulic lines (8 and 9) to the actuator.
(6)
Put the control handle for the landing gear in the OFF position.

Do a check of the actuator operation:
(a)
Manually move the hook to the closed (gear locked) position.
NOTE: You can use the metal tool to move the uplock hook to

the closed position (Fig. 402).
(b)
Make sure the uplock actuator hook moves and does not catch on equipment.
(c)
Manually move the uplock hook to the open (gear down) position.

WING LANDING GEAR DOWNLOCK ACTUATOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This procedure contains these two tasks:
(1)
The removal of the downlock actuator for the wing landing gear
(2)
The installation of the downlock actuator for the wing landing gear.
B.
To remove the downlock actuator these steps are necessary:
(1)
Bleed the pressure from the retract side of the actuator.
(2)
Disconnect the actuator hydraulic connections.
(3)
Remove the downlock actuator.
C.
To install the downlock actuator these steps are necessary:
(1)
Install the actuator with the attach bolts.
(2)
Connect the hydraulic lines to the actuator.
(3)
Do a check of the hydraulic connections for leaks.
