1. Operational Test - Body Gear and Door Extension and Retraction______________________________________________________________
A. General
(1)
In the procedure, you can test the Body Gear and Door Extension and Retraction only or do a Main Gear and Door Extension and Retraction - Adjustment Test. If you wish to do the Main Gear and Door Extension and Retraction test at one time, proceed to "Main Gear and Main Gear Doors Extension and Retraction - System Test" in AMM 32-32-00/501.
(2)
The following test procedure provides an operational check of body gear extension and retraction to assure satisfactory performance. The test is not intended as a comprehensive system test to verify complete system rigging.
(3)
Hydraulic pressure for system No. 1 may be obtained from the air-driven pump with a capacity of 32 GPM or a hydraulic service cart (AMM 29-11-00/201).
B.
Equipment and Materials
(1)
Hydraulic service cart, 0 to 4000 psi with 15 micron absolute filtration capable of 30 gpm minimum using hydraulic fluid, fire resistant, per BMS 3-11 (AMM 20-30-03/201) (optional).

Prepare to Test Extension and Retraction

Install nose gear door locks (AMM 32-00-30/201).

Check that main and nose gear ground locks are installed (AMM 09-11-00/201).

Check that landing gear indicating and warning system is operating. Test as necessary (AMM 32-61-00/501).

Check that landing gear control handle is in OFF position.
