Make sure the control lever for the landing gear is in the DN position.

Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Remove hydraulic power if it is not necessary (AMM 29-11-00/201).

LANDING GEAR SELECTOR VALVES - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains four tasks:
(1)
The removal of the selector valve for the wing landing gear
(2)
The removal of the selector valve for the nose landing gear and the body landing gear
(3)
The installation of the selector valve for the wing landing gear
(4)
The installation of the selector valve for the nose landing gear and the body landing gear.
B.
The removal procedures are almost the same for the wing landing gear or the nose landing gear and the body landing gear.
C.
To remove the selector valve these operations are necessary:
(1)
Disconnect the selector valve crank.
(2)
Disconnect the hydraulic hoses.
(3)
Remove the selector valve.
(4)
Remove the hydraulic fittings from the valve.
D.
The installation procedures are almost the same for the wing landing gear or the nose landing gear and the body landing gear.
E.
To install the selector valve these operations are necessary:
(1)
Install the fittings in the selector valve.
(2)
Fill the valve with fluid.
(3)
Install the bolts that attach the valve.
(4)
Connect the selector valve crank.
(5)
Connect the hydraulic hoses to the valve.
(6)
Bleed the air from the selector valve.
(7)
Make sure there are no leaks in the hydraulic connections.
F.
The selector valve for the wing landing gear is in the position that follows:
(1)
The outboard side of the wheel well of the right body landing gear.
G.
The selector valve for the nose landing gear and the body landing gear is in the position that follows:
(1)
The outboard side of the wheel well of the left body landing gear.
