CAUTION: HOLD THE ROD WHEN YOU DISCONNECT IT FROM THE DOOR FITTING.
_______ THE SPRING LOAD IN THE VALVE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE BOLT OR THE VALVE SLIDE.
(d) Remove the bolt (7) to disconnect the rod (6) from the door fitting.
NOTE: Permit the rod and the valve to move to the door closed
____ position (valve slide extended).
(e)
Remove the bolts (9) that attach the carrier to the valve.
(f)
Remove the bolts (1) that attach the valve (2) to its bracket.
(g)
Move the valve outboard to remove the spring pressure.
(h)
Disconnect the bolt (11).
(i)
Remove the valve.
(j)
Remove the hydraulic fittings from the valve.
(k)
Install caps on the valve ports.

(1)
Install the hydraulic fittings in the valve:
(a)
Lubricate the O-rings, the backup rings and the fittings with the lubricant.
(b)
Install the hydraulic fittings with new O-rings and backup rings in the ports of the valve.

Install the valve (Fig. 401):
(a)
Put the valve on the bracket with the clevis end of the valve aligned with the link (10).
(b)
Install the nylon washers (12) between the link and the clevis.
(c)
Install the bolt (11) with the countersunk washer adjacent to the bolt head.
(d)
Install the self-locking nut with the plain washer adjacent to it.
(e)
Tighten the nut to 25-50 pound-inches.
(f)
Install the four bolts (9) with the thin washers adjacent to the bolt head and the self-locking nut.
(g)
Tighten the nuts to 25-50 pound-inches.
(h)
Install the bolts (1) in the nutplates on the structure with thin washers adjacent to the bolt heads.
(i)
Remove the caps from the hydraulic hoses.
(j)
Connect the hydraulic hoses to the valve.

WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY INSTALL THE GROUND LOCKS IN ALL LANDING
_______ GEAR. AN ACCIDENTAL RETRACTION OF THE LANDING GEAR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(3) Make sure you install the ground locks in all landing gear (Ref 09-11-00/201).
