BODY GEAR DOWNLOCK ACTUATOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks:
(1)
Removal of the body gear downlock actuator.
(2)
Installation of the body gear downlock actuator.
B.
To remove the body gear downlock actuator these steps are necessary:
(1)
Make sure that landing gear ground lockpins are installed.
(2)
Install landing gear door locks.
(3)
Remove system No. 1 hydraulic pressure.
(4)
Bleed the remaining pressure from the retract side of the actuator.
(5)
Disconnect the actuator hydraulic connections.
(6)
Remove actuator attach bolts.
C.
To install the body gear downlock actuator these steps are necessary:
(1)
Position actuator and install attach bolts.
(2)
Connect hydraulic lines to actuator.
(3)
Pressurize hydraulic system No. 1.
(4)
Bleed actuator.
(5)
Do a check of hydraulic connections for leaks.
(6)
Remove the pressure from hydraulic system No. 1.
(7)
Lubricate grease fittings in each end of actuator.
(8)
Remove the landing gear door locks.
