(b)
Remove allen head screws that hold flap selector knob to the shaft.
(c)
Remove the screws and nylon washers that attach the faceplate to the control handle module.
(d)
Remove the faceplate.
(e)
Remove the screws that attach the control handle module to the structure.
(f)
While you hold the slot with a screwdriver, remove the nut which attaches the control rod to the handle trunnion.
(g)
Pull the module out of the instrument panel.
NOTE: If the module is not easy to pull out of the
____ instrument panel, examine the perimeter of the module. Paint or sealant along the perimeter of the module can hold the module in its position. If you find paint or sealant along the perimeter, carefully remove it before you pull on the module.
NOTE: This also disconnects the connectors D12461 and
____ D12462 of the control handle module.
(h) Install the safety pin to the control module quandrant.
NOTE: This will prevent inadvertent rotation of the quadrant
____ assembly after you remove the control module out of the instrument panel.
