 (e)  5) Make sure the lever moves suddenly into the OFF slot. a) Make sure the control lever moves freely against the slot in the panel. b) Make sure the control lever does not rub against the slot in the panel.Pull the control lever, in a straight direction, out of the OFF detent until you can move it to the UP or DN position.
 NOTE:____ Do not pull the lever fully out of the detent.
 (f)  1) Make sure the force necessary is not more than 12 pounds.Put the control lever in the OFF detent.

 (4)  Pressurize hydraulic systems No. 1 and 4 (AMM 29-11-00/201).

 (5)  Open the 7F24 LANDING GEAR LEVER LOCK circuit breaker on the P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel.

 (6)  Do a test of the override mechanism for the control lever. (a) Make sure that all persons are clear of the landing gear doors. (b) Move the control lever to the UP position. 1) Make sure the lock override mechanism does not permit you to move the control lever to the UP position. (c) Push the LOCK OVERRIDE button. (d) Move the control lever fully to the UP position. 1) Make sure the control lever moves freely when you move it to the UP position. (e) Move the control lever to the DN position. 1) Make sure the landing gear doors close.

 (b)  If the control system is adjusted correctly, do a check of the selector valve for the wing gear and the control handle movement. 1) Find if the selector valve crank stops before the control
 handle goes into the DN detent. 2) If it does, replace the selector valve crank.

If the condition continues, replace the selector valve for the wing gear (AMM 32-31-03/401).
