Install the ground locks in all landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).

Do a check of the mechanical lock hook on each truck of the wing landing gear (Fig 501):
(a)
Move the ground release handles for the main landing gear to the DOORS OPEN position.
(b)
Remove the ground lock from the serviced gear.
(c)
Move the control lever to the UP position.
(d)
Increase the pressure slowly in hydraulic system No. 4 until the mechanical lock hook engages the roller. (AMM 29-11-00/201).
(e)
Make sure the mechanical lock hook engages the roller.
(f)
Measure the angular travel of the oleo from the gear down position to the position where the truck fully locks up.
NOTE: You must put the inclinometer on a straight area of the
____ oleo cylinder to accurately measure the oleo travel.
(g)
Make sure that the angular travel in the retract direction is not more than 15 degrees.
(h)
Move the control lever to the DN position. 1) Make sure the two wing landing gear extend. 2) Make sure the wing landing gear are in the down and locked
position.
(i)
Move the control lever to the OFF position.

Remove the hydraulic pressure from system No. 4 (amm 29-11-00/201).
(24)
Install ground locks in all landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).

NOTE: It is satisfactory if the "CONFIG GEAR" message shows while you run

A. General

(1) Monitor the temperature of the hydraulic fluid when you do the test. The fluid temperature must not become more than 100°C (212°F).
NOTE: If the "SYS FAULT" light on the overhead panel comes on and
____ the "HYD OVHT" message on the EICAS display shows, you must stop the test and allow the hydraulic fluid to cool before you continue.
