Prepare for the Removal

WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY INSTALL THE GROUND LOCKS IN ALL LANDING
_______ GEAR. AN ACCIDENTAL RETRACTION OF THE LANDING GEAR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Install the ground locks in all landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).

_______ THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2) Do this task: "Wing Landing Gear Door Lock Installation" (AMM 32-00-30/201).

Do this task: "Body Landing Gear Door Lock Installation" (AMM 32-00-30/201).

Remove the hydraulic pressure from system No. 4 (Ref 29-11-00/201).

Remove the Downlock Actuator.

Remove the downlock actuator (1) (Fig. 401):
(a)
Remove the hydraulic pressure from the retract side of the downlock actuator: 1) Break the safety wire on one of the bleed plugs on the rod
end of the actuator. 2) Loosen the bleed plug approximately two turns. 3) Bleed all pressure from the retract side of the actuator.
(b)
Disconnect the hydraulic tubes (16 and 25) from the actuator (1).
(c)
Install caps on the hydraulic tubes.
(d)
Remove the attach bolts (3 and 27) at the ends of the actuator and remove the actuator (1).
(e)
If the adapters (13 and 19) are necessary for the installation of a new valve (8), remove the adapters (13 and 19) from the actuator (1). 1) Install plugs in the ports on the actuator.
(f)
If you do not remove the adapters (13 and 19), install caps on them.
