WING GEAR AND DOOR EXTENSION AND RETRACTION - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

1. General
_______
A. In this procedure, you can test the Wing Gear and Door Extension and Retraction only or do a Main Gear and Door Extension and Retraction -Adjustment Test. If you wish to do the Main Gear and Door Extension and Retraction test, proceed to "Main Gear and Main Gear Doors Extension and Retraction - System Test."
B. This procedure contains a system test of the mechanical and electrical functions for these systems:
(1)
The extension system for the wing landing gear
(2)
The retraction system for the wing landing gear.
C.
This procedure is not a system test for the adjustment of the control system for the landing gear. If you adjusted the control system, do the system test for the control system of the landing gear (AMM 32-31-00/501).

NOTE: It is satisfactory if the "CONFIG GEAR" message appears while you are

doing the test.
A. General
(1)
Monitor the temperature of the hydraulic fluid during the test. The fluid temperature must not become more than 100°C (212°F). It is possible that these two items that follow will occur if the fluid temperature becomes too hot:
(a)
The SYS FAULT light on the overhead panel will come on
(b)
The HYD OVHT indication will come into view on the EICAS.
(2)
If these indications come into view, stop the test until the fluid is cool before you continue.
